About the Recipe

Sinéad is one of our absolute pro clients. Now that she's mastered getting protein into her meals, she's sharing all her wisdom with you and keeping it authentically Irish too!

Ingredients

  • 500g Lean Steak Pieces

  • 500g 5% Beef Mince

  • 6/8 Carrots

  • 3 Onions

  • 1 cup Frozen Peas

  • 5 large Potatoes, peeled

  • 2 Beef Stock Cubes

  • 1 tbsp Bisto (to thicken if you want at end)

  • 1 Beef Casserole Mix Packet

  • A dash of Worcestershire Sauce

Preparation

Step One

Make small meatballs from mince and brown with steak pieces.


Step Two

In a big pot make stock/ and add casserole mix in about 500 ml water (enough to well cover veg/meat).


Step Three

Add chopped carrots and sliced onions (don't brown the onions not sure why just don't) and peeled potatoes.


Step Four

Add the beef and mince balls and leave to simmer on a low heat.


Step Five

Add frozen peas after half an hour


Step Six

Cook until the potatoes are cooked through.
