About the Recipe

The beauty of this delicious burger? It's smashed thin so it cooks fast and saves you adding too much oil! Goes great with a delicious Brioche Bun and salad. If you want to keep your fats a little lower, opt for 10% mince instead.

  • ½ head Lettuce

  • 1 Large Tomato, sliced

    Hamburger Sauce: (8 servings)

  • ¼ cup Mayonnaise

  • 1 ½ tsp Mustard

  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder

  • ½ tsp White Vinegar

  • ½ tsp Sugar

  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Preparation

Step Two

Fry the onions until soft and caramelised on medium low heat, approximately 8-12 minutes.

Step Three

Heat pan to a high heat and add a small amount of oil until it just coats the bottom of the pan.

Step Four

Step Five

Flip and add some of the caramelised onions, then a slice of cheese, cook for another 1-2 minutes.

Step Six

Toast the burger buns on medium heat in a dry pan then build the burger.

Step Seven

Coat both buns with the sauce then stack the bottom bun with lettuce, then tomatoes, then burger, then pickles and finally bun.
